Become a Partner

Partnership isn’t to be taken lightly. You’ll be held to a high standard. The church is called to be distinct from the world, so if you want to join up with us, make sure you’re living distinctly. Contact us with any questions.

If you are interested in becoming a partner with The Rooted Church, you need to complete a 5 step process:

Step 1: Act Like a Partner

Love Jesus, read your Bible, live out a life that is being changed by the gospel, be faithful toward the church you want to call your home (make it a priority, serve where necessary, help financially). Be sure you live in community and on mission with other Rooted people. This means not just attending but sharing your life in a City Group. You can’t become a partner if no one knows you, so we ask that every person be involved in a City Group for at least 3 months before pursuing partnership.

Step 2: Learn About the Rooted

Enroll in and complete our 3 week Partnership class. During this class you will learn about our unwavering commitment to Jesus, community, and mission. You’ll also read the Rooted’s Doctrinal Statement and Partnership Covenant.

Step 3: Meet with a Pastor

Schedule and have an interview with one of our pastors. This generally lasts about an hour. You’ll have a chance to talk about how Jesus is at work in your life, how you involve yourself in the life and mission of our community, and ask any questions you may have. This is often a very encouraging time for everyone involved.

Step 4: Get Baptized

If you haven’t been baptized as a Christian, get baptized (this will be discussed in the interview).

Step 5: Covenant with the Rooted

Sign the last page of the Partnership Covenant and submit it to your City Group leader. A pastor will notify you upon final approval. Welcome to the family!
