Life in the Rooted
The Rooted fights to be a God-centered, gospel-driven, city-loving community living in and around Fort Worth. We want to be honest: what we’re after is joyful allegiance to Jesus in all things. If your allegiances are elsewhere, you’ll get no judgment from us. You can travel with us any time. We hope to be good friends, and maybe you’ll hear and see something compelling in us.
Those of us who join up with the life of the Rooted live our lives with gospel intentionality within the culture God has placed us. In other words, we live lives that are being changed by the grace of Jesus (and therefore are distinct from the culture around us) while also being good friends, neighbors, and citizens of our city (as opposed to living as some strange sub-culture). So we talk a lot about the new Identities Jesus gives us as well as the Rhythms of everyday life where we live them out. To do this as a family, we encourage people to live life together in 3 contexts: City Groups, Fight Clubs, and Sunday gatherings.
Whether you think Jesus is the King, a fool, or just an interesting fellow, you are welcome to drop in on anything we do.
We are a part of the Acts 29 Network of churches and, as a church community, meet in and have made a lifelong commitment to the area of Fort Worth known as Near Southside. We are…
God-Centered
Making much of God is behind all our pursuits. We are motivated by a conviction that God’s glory is that happiness for which we were made.
Gospel-Driven
We are about Jesus in everything we do. His life, death and resurrection are what we strive to proclaim, be transformed by, and live out daily.
City-Loving
We live out the gospel in our everyday lives by loving and serving those around us, working to see the gospel renew lives in Fort Worth and beyond.
