FAQ

1. How can I join your church?

We call our church members “partners.” Head to our partners page to read more.

2. Who are you affiliated with?

The Rooted Church is part of the Acts29 Network – an international church planting network commited to planting Christian, Evangelical, Missional, Reformed churches. We started in 2008 with help from CityView Church in north Fort Worth and we’re a part of the The Village Church family of church plants.

We’re also partnered with the Baptist General Convention of Texas so that students enrolled at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary can join us and still afford school.

3. Do you have any weekday meetings?

Yes. Most of the life of the Rooted happens outside our Sunday gatherings. While we intentionally keep our activities limited during the week, our main avenue for doing this is our City Groups.

4. What are Sundays like?

We like to keep things simple and relaxed, but focused. We don’t have much in the way of flash or catchy productions enticing people to meet God. We believe that Jesus is enough. And we believe the Bible tells us about Jesus. So we read the Bible, teach the Bible, sing the Bible, pray the Bible, and see the Bible (communion and baptisms). The goal through it all is to love God and know him better by making God’s unchanging truth accessible without watering it down.

5. What should I wear?

At any Rooted gathering, you’re welcome to wear whatever you’d like. There is no dress code. Just be you. Whether that’s gauged ears & tattoos, an Armani suit, or a doilied denim-jumper, it’s all good.

6. Do I have to bring money or a tithe?

No, you never have to pay for your seat. Guests are encouraged to be our guests. We do not take an offering. No velvet pouch, wicker basket, plastic bucket or stainless steel offering plate will be passed around. We are a member-supported Jesus community and we’re just glad you took the time to join us on a Sunday.
